Help with oil level please

Checked my oil level today on my C63, it's done 1200 miles now, and I've found the dipstick a little confusing... Maybe I'm thick! Is the level meant to be between the top 2 red marks, or the bottom 2 red marks?!

Had a look in the owner's handbook but it was no help! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi i think it is fine you will get a low level warning on the dash if the oil level is low i have never checked the dipstick yet on my c63.

I haven't had any warning messages yet, but I would have thought the warning comes on when it's seriously low? I don't want to let it get that low really...

The level is supposed to be between the tow top marks. Fill it so it is in the middle when hot.

I see, I took that level when it was stone cold. I'll see where it is when the engine is warm.

Not warm, it must be hot 5 mins after switch off on a level ground.

If it's low it will say check your oil at next stop. It then takes around 1 litre. Not sure what it says if you over fill. ?????

I believe it says "overfull visit workshop"
