Welcome to the forum Darren.

As the real (petrol) V6 engine is no longer available on the C-Class saloon, I assume yours is the diesel version? You don't have to be shy about it, there are plenty other oil burning lovers here ;)

Lol yeh mate only the diesel available. Quick Q for you, the lag i experience from a still start is annoying especially at roundabouts if i want to dart out. Sport mode or kickdown dont seem to make a difference...i dont really want the thing remapping.any advice?

Been on holiday with no Internet so only just seen this.

I noticed this at first but have got used to it now. I guess you just need to hit the throttle like you mean it  Certainly less significant in sport mode which I usually select once the engine is warm.

Vaguely remember another thread that said the gentle throttle is a MB characteristic designed to make for smoother get always.

No such problems with the petrol version ;) Sorry, no help to you I know. Mine shoots off so instantaneously I had to adapt my driving style to avoid running into the back of others from a standstill. I guess you'll also have to adapt to make allowances for how your car behaves.
