Hi,

I spotted a thread on Benzworld about HKS induction kits for c36. I asked if anyone had experience of such a mod.

I have a K&N on our Pug, sounds great, I dont think it actually added any power, but it sounds faster.

A guy answered saying that he had one on both his c36 and then c43, said they were great and were definately better, more growl and more power.

I have read that the air box on Mercs are pretty much maxxed. Can anyone confirm these claims, or is it all silly expensive nonsense? (wanted the pug to sound faster :D )

Cheers
Dave

An induction kit will make the breatheing better and help the car feel more responsive...BUT because of the heat produced under the bonnet of these beasts, its normally a negative, as more hot air would get sucked even with some sort of induction pipe.

Also life of your MAS is greatly reduced!

I cant afford to replace my MAS whilst experimenting, so the standard airbox is the way to go for day to day driving!
