I'm house hunting at the moment looking at various places around the country and different options, etc, etc ......

Anyhow came across this picture of a house ..... not sure if the house or the car is for sale as it's certainly more prominent !!!!!!!!!!

Edited to add that this pic is the main/only pic selling the house !!!

When I was selling my house, I was going to pull my car into the garage before the picture was taken, but the Estate Agent made sure the Mercedes was in front of the house.

Gave the right impression of the caliber etc etc apparently!

i looked at a house once and the car had a porshe 911 in the driveway on the pic in the estate agents. thought "it must be a good area". turned up to take a look at the house and an old fiesta was on the driveway... must had been the estate agent's car. common trick

Not too north .... £190k would only get you a 2 bed semi (difficulty swinging a cat) bungalow locally in glasgow

we looked at an outside pic of a house a while ago taken at a strange angle but - it looked perfect - nice barn conversion - got there to find it was on the corner of a main road junction - 3 ft of grass to the pavement & a ranch fence but worse (for us) was the huge pub right next door !

Richard - yes - I might possibly be leaving sunny leafy Berkshire.

Kinda looking here, there and everywhere really - not too fussed where it is, as long as it's easily commutable to one of our offices and the local schools are of a good quality.

Basically anywhere except London, Kent, East Sussex, Essex, Norfolk, Wales and Devon, and no further north than Pammy/Lord Walker/The Cat.

This has pee'd me off all day - couldn't post from work - BUT - buy a mansion up 'north for £190k - not here you couldn't - might just get you a semi or a small bog standard detached but that's your lot!!

By "up North" you must mean Newcastle. You can buy a whole street for that money and still have change for an SL 55 AMG.
