Like many of you I frequently watch and learn plenty of good techniques by watching U-Tube vids.
Unfortunately, I now do my service / repairs in a location which is out of range of my wi-fi.
I now want to be able to down-load a vid onto my pc, so that I can take the pc to the car with me and step my way thru the vid.
I guess it must be easy ( ?????? ).
You can guess that I have no kids.
Your help would be greatly-appreciated.
Thanks.
John

Google 'free YouTube rip' or 'YouTube downloaded.

There are quite a few free online websites that provide this.

(Technically it's a copyright infringement, though not enforced when it's not for commercial use)

Watch them on your phone? My WiFi reaches out onto my garden.

YouTube Premium allows you to legit download them, Using a dodgy downloader you are preventing the content creators from getting views. Views = £££

I just have a folder in my browser that I save my favourite yt videos to and watch them at any time, using wi fi if outside.
No need to download the content then.

Thanks Markjay.
I'll give it a go.
Thanks KHz ... But I don't use a smart-phone.
I'll take the pc out and put it on the seat as I work.

I found this program on the net:
"HD Video Converter Factory".
It was a bit complicated to get it to work.
However - I've now downloaded three U-Tube videos and stored them in MP4 mode in locations on my pc.
It hasn't raised any virus issues (always a risk downloading unknown software).
I'm quite pleased with the results - Given my limited IT skills.

One of the vids is the dreaded "Bouncing Lock" repair video.
You can see why I needed to take a copy of the vid out to the car.
That's a bit of fun that I have to tackle soon.
I've purchased the spring repair kit.
I'm just plucking up my courage to start.

Good Morning,
Did you ever get around to doing your door lock?. .........I had this problem some long time ago on my old 03 E320, and like you, I bought the repair kit with good intentions, studied the video, and then found the " Electrical tape fix ". Rather than all the effort needed in taking off door panels, stripping out the lock, etc etc, I decided to try the tape fix. The only technical know how needed for the tape fix was getting the right amount on the door button to create some friction, and it worked perfectly, for over 2 plus years until I sold the car, and is probably still working.
If you did follow the video, I hope it worked for you.

Regards Steve.
