My guess is about £100 as it has no monitor. but it does depend on whether it comes with a genuine copy of Windows 7. Not a bad machine, my son has one and it works very nicely with Windows 7, much better than it ever was with XP that it came with.

I think that's a little mean. The machine is still a reasonable spec and not too old. I remember when a 3 year old PC was only fit for a museum, but that's not the case these days. That Dell should have years of life left in it, and £150-£200 is a reasonable sum in my mind, as long as it's been cared for.

On the other hand, if it's been stuffed under a table in someone's house, and is now full of dust/dog hairs/nicotine, it's not worth a bean.. out of warranty and the first time it goes wrong it'll be a bin job.

Just my thoughts..

Cheers,

Gaz

I'd agree, £100 with no OS.

That would be reasonable. Another £30 if W7 was properly licensed.

Also important what version of windows 7 is it and does it come with a licenced disc as already stated so you can reinstall in the event of the hard disc going awol?

thanks for the replies, it would be a copy of Win 7 ultimate fully licensed and with a disc.

Win 7 ultimate fully licensed and with a disc---- is listed on Amazon as £167 as a new install and £100 as an Vista/XP upgrade disc.
