How much to fix this 2006 CLK?

That's barmy! No roof, blood and glass all over the interior and he wants £9k.

Cat D my ar$e.

That should be broken and parted out.

that is why I thought it should be at least cat A or B.

Shouldn't somebody report that to ebay or DVLA?

That looks pretty bad and having the roof cut at all pillars should mean a Cat B I thought. Most Cat D write offs you can usually drive home from the scene in.

I hope no one buys that and I feel sorry for the person that pays £9k for that car.

That should be broken for bits surely.

Can the seller not even hover it inside. That could need so many more parts than you can see, glass in sat nav, ripped seats with glass, scratched wood etc.

I wouldn't touch it.

But the seller says he can guarantee cat D? LOL

How can he guarantee? I wonder which insurance company wrote this one off with cat D.

Unless it wasn't insured LOL

never mind the interesting N/s R suspension geometery!!!

9K for an engine & gear box then.

are renforced with some special steel I read in a instructionbook for the firebrigade.

There is no way that car should be back on the road. The roof will just be welded back on, and I feel very sorry for the person that ends up with it unknowingly.

I was trying to see why the roof was cut off - there is not that much damage to the rest of the car; the airbag has not deployed and the screens look like they have broken as a result of the roof being cut off. Strange.

Maybe it was used as a practice car by a fire station that needed to use it's annual budget up before April! :D

Now about rear passenger with neck injury from the o/s/r impact (that pushed the n/s/r against the kerb).

Seems like a quite a bit of work to put it back in one piece.

I wonder if the fire brigade cut the roof off to get a rear passenger out safely - being a coupe I guess access is a little tricky (maybe suspected spinal injury or something like that?)

Bit of a shame to lose a newish car, but it's only metal. Might be better as spares?

That would make sense.

I think (D) stands for Do not touch with a very long stick.
