..Anyone??:dk:

My Van was liveried then all the decals removed before I purchased it, it takes a cracking shine but I swear to God, I think the previous owner has painted over the decals of his business, on the bonnet say, despite orbital buffing you can still see the marks of an "Electricians" business and its difficult to remove.. other than getting the bonnet and panels resprayed what orhet choices do I have without damaging the paint?? :dk:

Paint changes colour when subjected to UV light. The main panel will have been exposed, while the bits where the lettering was hasn't been. Unfortunately, the only way to totally obscure it will be a repaint.

What colour is the van?

Have you considered getting the affected panels wrapped? As its black should be able to find a very similar film... would be much cheaper? As I imagine these are straight panels any wrap shop could do it quite cheaply...

just a thought.

Have you tried wet compounding with the buffer?

I think I'd ask the same question on the Detailing World forum, it seems just up their street!
