Hydraulic pump and self leveling valve

I don't see why it can't be rebuild, but I suppose it depends what's wrong with it.

If it does prove to be mission impossible I've got a new one going cheap...
Nick, perhaps we can do business. Is it OK to discuss this on this forum or do you have an email. How much?

How did you get on with your search for a pump Alistair? I ended up buying a reconditioned one and had it fitted. Now I have a problem with the self levelling valve or so I'm told. I only raises or lowers the car when the valve is manually adjusted fully one way or the other. Did you find any reconditioning kits for these valves. It may be a different one on my car; w210 e320 estate, but if you could get a kit for yours I may be able to get a kit for mine.

You might find the valve is just sticking a bit. A flush with some flushing agent may do the trick, otherwise it's strip and clean.

I don't think Mercedes do a flushing agent but a Citroen specialist may do it for you.
I don't know but it's probably something like parrafin just to degum everything.

Thanks for suggestions Dieselman. Is a strip and clean a relatively simple procedure? Are there any diagrams out there?
