Absolutely love this. Sure, there’s no power there, but as a comfortable wafter and a step back in time it’s just awesome! What do you think?

Only about 20 miles from us. 🤔

That registration is from the Winchester area I think.

The asking price reflects the desirability...

That does look like it’s in lovely shape.

I love the detailed advert

Pretty 😍. Easy to fall in love with a W124.

The MOT history is definitely worth reading (never seen an exclamation mark used with such gusto!). As would be the "full service history". I agree it looks beautiful in the ad (I might be a little bit biased :p), but never buy one of these on impulse and always get underneath and have a very good look for rust everywhere.

I've never driven a 200 so can't comment on power but my 230e is considered underpowered and unrefined by many. It's comfy, simple to operate/maintain and reliable. Power enough for me, but I drive like an old lady.

edit: ad says it has air conditioning. It hasn't, judging by the control panel.

122 horsepower auto in a car that size mixing with modern traffic? Not for me....but she's pretty.

It just looks good I guess

Before purchase get it inspected buy an independent specialist. Most need a significant amount of work. Some are great, just be careful.

Yes, it does - I agree. I never get tired of looking at a shiny 124. The more "blobby' modern cars get, the more I love the look of them.

Sorry, I must have been in nag mode earlier. 😊
Ha! Don’t apologise at all! I don’t know why, but many a modern Mercedes passes me by and I don’t even blink… If I see a nice old model go by I’m watching it all the way down the road.

Previous mots make for interesting reading, alot going on underneath me thinks.
