As the title says, I got a full set of new-old-stock AMG shocks for my car. Basically, I bought them because I'd never seen a set for sale before and didn't want to miss them.

I don't want to get them fitted by themselves and will root around for various bits to complement them and fit all at once and when finances permit.

What would the panel suggest I replace along with them?

The front wishbones are new so I was thinking I'd like to get the underbody steam cleaned and waxoiled and the bushes and springs replaced too.

The car has a Sportline (or AMG Evolution according to the vin reader) Chassis and it is pretty low.

Does anyone (Talbir maybe?) know if there's any likelyhood that I'll ever find a set of AMG springs for the 3.2 AMG W201? Or what else would be good? I want low and am more concerned with handling than comfort. Eibach seem to have produced Sportine springs that might do but I think they are discontinued. I need firm, lower springs for the W201, 6 cylinder engine, with aircon but can't find any nice ones, trawling the internet.

Then there are the bushes. Should I get replacement sportline ones or is there a better aftermarket type? And is there anything else I should think about replacing at the same time?

Thanks for that. The first link only covers the 4 cylinder models though and the second one doesn't say whether lower / sportline or not and the only reference to aircon is for the 4 cylinder models too.

The final W201 entry on that PDF deals with 5 and 6 cylinder models and would appear to lower 40 cms which is very much in line with Sportline shocks travel. Lowering any further is perhaps going to get into problem areas with camber. The Sportline wishbone ball joint mounting angles are already modified to compensate for this AFAIK. When trying to source aftermarket tuning parts it becomes increasingly difficult to get the exact parts you want in older superceded models. Sometimes you have to compromise. Sportline wishbone bushes should be fine for road use but the next step would be a fully rose- jointed set up which would be very expensive.
