Under warranty MB Central are replacing the load cover motor on my car.
They are also fixing a mysterious oil leak in the timing chain area after they checked the timing marks, under instruction from Milton Keynes, in an attempt to find the strange idle vibration that has them baffled.

It went in on Wednesday, but wasn't completed by Friday afternoon so they have kept it until Monday (hopefully).

I have a very nice 60 plate C Class CDI with a very impressive twin turbo engine, blah, blah, blah, but....................

it's not my wonderful E Class estate which I'm really really missing.

I just wanted to share my pain.

Thanks, I feel better now

I feel your pain.

Both my cars are in for elective surgery. Isolde for a boob job to give her a lot more upfront, and Brunnhilde is having extra special horns made to make her sound better inside.

This means I have to walk. As a result of a shoe malfunction while out training with the nazi, I have huge blisters on both feet. Without a car this is unspeakable.

Will be most interested to hear about the extra horns on Brunnhilde Charles.

Do they no have rickshaws in London Charles like they do in Edinburgh?

I need a new pair of orthotic insoles.

Me too.

I had my triple by-pass a few weeks back and am not allowed to drive for 6 weeks or so.

I'm supposed to walk every day which I do, but for other stuff I rely on lifts from chums at the moment. Can't even contemplate buses - won't risk the juddering and harsh braking!

Taxis are hit and miss as well. Had a pleasant enough chap the other day but his driving was apalling. He knew I was post-op (going to hospital for check-up) but still drove like a man possessed. Violent acceleration, hard braking, too fast in corners and sought out every pot-hole. Ouch.

It's not until it's gone do we realise what a wonderful gift the motor car is.

Could it be a bottom end bearing, like the one Ollie diagnosed on crockers car?

Mine resonates at idle, you can barely feel anything on the wheel and nothing on the transmission selector at all. For a diesel its incredible.

The TT C class will be slower, especially after a brabus car, but should still be ample.

What sort of MPG is it returning relative to your D6 III E320?
