Ideas for a decent backbox to unleash the V8!!

Look at the design of the box. It's like a coiled snake inside it. The box I had designed goes straight through the silencer.

I'll take your word for it, as i'm not about to cut it open .... AMG design it to create the optimum conditions for the engine ( that they also built ) , backpressure , flow etc , i'm happy to go along with the thought that they would have done a good job ...

I've got no problems with mine , but each to their own .... good luck with the sale ....

Oh, I know what you mean. Snag is that it was too damned quiet. I didn't notice any change in performance when I put the new one in. The fact that it snakes round the box does make it very restrictive.

Mine has a set of aftermarket cats on it , Olly commented on them when i was at his place.

Our other 430 sounds nothing like my 430 and they are the same car , a year apart .. mine is much more throaty ...

Now i have the 55 box on mine it sounds just incredible , i guess a combination of small cats and the 55 box is what does it ... i find myself booting it on clear sections of road with the window down just to listen to it ...
