to No.1 brand in reliability
Guys, I need some more info on this Idle Speed Control Actuator - this is the term my mech gave me. My car has the erratic idling problem and one of the potential sources could be this unit which apparently contains lots of other components which may be at fault. What is this part, is there a part number and can I get it cheaper (ebay? or others) than at a main MB dealer. I am coming to UK for a month+ this weekend and so I would like to take the opp to obtain it cheaper (than Australia) if possible. (My 1996 C220 came from UK originally) THanks

im assuming its 001 141 02 25, slide, idle spped actuator

big body thing mounted to the inlet at the end of the pipe that runs over the top of the engine, with a wire coming from it.

my system says its 600 US dollars

this is for a 1996 US C220 chassis number 202022****

from page 1 of group 7 (injection system) of engine type M111.961

guydewdney, thanks for the part number (001 141 0225). Is the name Slide Idle Speed Actuator? Yes the chassis and engine type is correct mine is WDB2020222F385849 and Engine No 11196122099700

So is that it, its USD600? and there are no workarounds this part ie I have to get from MB. How come i don't hear of this part often on the forums? Does no one ever have issues with it here?
