Ignition key problem c220 2007 HELP

HELP

hi my c220 2007 has stopped responding to the key when in the ignition
It opens doors fine via remote and turns in the ignition but doesn't start or
Even try to start no warning lights on the dash only the mileage also the steering
Wheel will not lock

Any ideas?
