It's great to see someone going to so much trouble on one of these, there is a chance that this will be a very rare car in the future, hopefully this and a couple of the others will survive.

I remember seeing someone on this forum having gone to similar efforts on a lovely silver E320 cdi estate - very nice.

Impressive wonder how many hours a week that took any info on the thread that covers the restoration of the silver estate on here?
Read a similar thread on there i think ( USA tho )where someone restored a 124 estate nearly everything underneath and tacked on to the engine ( hoses etc ) was replaced guy reckoned it would do him another 10 years car sat on wooden blocks on his driveway one can only admire the dedication and the results
