Independants in Cheshire?

Im looking for an independant specialist in Cheshire (after having a near coronary at the prices of the main dealer and the funny way at which they looked at my car!)

Ive heard that theres a guy based in Stockport which isn't too far from me.

Anyone have any ideas?

Do they seem trust worthy and know what that they are talking about ?
What did they charge you and what for ?

Garage is clean and professional, they have just moved to a larger unit due to expanding business. They are ex-mercedes technicians and appeared knowledgeable and helpful.
I had a full check over the car with a written report £25.
Replacement transmission cooler pipes, gearbox service and diff oil topped up £300. They charge £45+vat for labour
They came recommended by a recovery company.

B Service

Mercedes Tech have just quoted £220 (+£25 for an oil flush) for a B Service on my 2002 C180K, compared to £374 from Mercedes-Benz of Warrington . I think the dealer history on my car is about to end.

I've just recently used Steve at SPR autos in Stockport for work on the 300TD -

'B' service - £185
Ball joints - £100
Regas air - £50

He also sorted a couple of minor electrical glitches, and investigated a problem with the radio.

All in all, very pleased to have someone to look after this 9 year old 93k car [that we have had from new] at much more sensible prices.
