indicator lights flashing rapidly when you arm the car?

Hi Guys

My wifes C180 W203 has started to flash the indicator lights rapidly when you lock the doors?

I have checked that no doors or boot are open and they lock fine. There is no siren just rapid flashing lights.?

I have heard this can be a faulty siren unit which can be replaced, what do you think?

Sounds like the siren alright, you can unplug it and replace it at some time in the future, about £80? From dealer.

PS have anyone fixed these? as I have not none a siren to go bad?

It's not just a siren, it is the brains of the alarm system, see link below to see what’s inside.

Some people have said that the replaced the batteries and repaired it, to do that you would need a perfectly good undamaged PCB (Printed Circuit Board) in most cases there is a lot of damage to the PCB caused by the failing internal batteries.
