Hi,

Any help from fellow Mercedes owners gurus out there would be much appreciated

Car went in for Service MOT today and passed no problem. During the service they said the injector could do with changing - its not finished yet but it was advised

I am just wondering what the correct one for my car is

I have seen a couple on eBay and dont know which is correct - any help much appreciated

Mercedes Injector - C200 C220 C270 E200 E220 ect.. CDI | eBay

What did they say was wrong with the injectors?

If you really need some then ECP is a reasonable place to start.

Hi not sure if this will help, but I remember GFS parts had a special on w203 petrol injectors (my car). I THINK from memory about 24 quid each, but was a few months ago now. Might be worth checking.

Hi, they didnt say exactly what was wrong but from what i understand it might be leaking (sorry i'm not to tech'd up on the engine part of cars)

Basically when starting the car it can take a few second rather than starting immediately (i.e. it turns over a few times then starts)

When you start the car can you hear it tick? If so all it is is a leaking injector. Easy fix. If an injector was iffy it would do one of two things, Not run at all, or run like a bag of bolts. Get it on a Star machine and be certain before spending money.

The above are the same unit, the difference is that one is brand new, and one is Re Manufactured.

We have 1 other Merc part number listed, however it looks like Merc have superceeded that to the ones above.

Hope That Helps :thumb:

But most importantly....

Theres no point throwing away £100 if you can get the car on STAR. Even for the diagnosis charge, it would be worth it for peace of mind :)

Hi,

Thanks, when it's idol there is a ticking noise that sounds like the dash and its been annoying the hell out of me, its not loud and when i start to move away it stops (dont know if this is what you're referring to or if i'm talking rubbish)

Also the ESP light was on which is when it as connected to this machine thing i think you're talking about (the car as given to a local merc specialist) - he identified the steering sensor and the injector.
