Hi guys I posted this off to a guy who supplies electric fuel pumps:
Ive spotted your added on ebay and wanted to ask you a question before ordering a fuel pump. I have a C250 Turbo Diesel Merc 1997. When I got the car home after purchasing it I noticed a knocking noise. Upon inspection I notice that an electric fuel pump has been added to bypass the original one on the car, no doubt to save the replacement cost. If I purchase another electrical one from yourselves will it be sufficient for the car and will it make the annoying knocking noise it currently does?
I'm short on dough at the mo and was wondering if any of you had done this or know of anybody that has done this as a temp measure or in order to save money? I think injector pumps are around the £300 mark from a breakers and the bypass electrical one around £30-£40. I am happy to fit an electrical one again but this one makes an annoying knocking noise.
Any info would be most appreciated.
