2005 W215 CL500.
...of the offside front is worn to slick. The other tyres are all wearing evenly and were replaced at the same time . They have now done c.14,000 miles.

So, what's the verdict? Thanks.
 
Check the suspension for play and the lower arm bushes for splits.
 
The car was MOTed this evening, since I first posted. Passed with no problems. So the ball joints and bushes etc are fine. Must be a set up problem. The test ( in NI) is very rigorous and if they didn't find it, it was not there.
 
therefore the setting must be out.

too much toe out on that front offside.

but I would have suspected the wishbone bushes too - they are very difficult to check with the spring and shocks in place as there is to much tension to make them move.

Have a look at the castor bush by levering it over. If they are original I bet they are split
