Insurance invalid if caught smoking?

Maybe smokers should be tested whilst smoking? That way the ones that can't will be weened out and not given a licence until they can handle a car. Granted it can be an addiction and granted there are good smoking drivers but we should be targeting the bad drivers smokers.

Rather than hitting the majority for a minority of peoples' actions get the right people off the road and let accidents be accidents rather than mistakes!

Btw im not a fan of smoking but i think its far fetched to ban it for people doing it in thier own car.

When I come up behind a mother with cantankerous kids in the car, some idiot on a mobile phone, an old man wearing a hat, etc, etc, I'd much rather have a smoker in front puffing away. More dangerous for the smoker's health but much safer for me.

I do wish the do gooders who hold sway at the moment would realise that life is not without risk, and cannot be legislated to be so. Life is 100% fatal. By all means do a risk analysis and if the risk proves to be too great, then it's acceptable to legislate. Too much is being done these days by people who 'have an idea that something is dangerous/risky'.
