Various.
The news has been full of stories of the NSA spying & Edward Snowden whistle blowing. Just wondered if anyone uses Tor as their every day browser, or indeed, if it can it be used as such?

Your ISP will know exactly where you have been.

Nothing is really secure and anonymous unless you know what secure proxies are ......

Yes, but I only use it for nefarious purposes.. Luckily I downloaded it before the NSA and RNLI started logging data on everyone who obtained it..

Ever considered whether Tor was a honeytrap?

Aren't these the tricks of paedo's?

Or if you are journalist in Iran, Egypt, Russia, Syria, China etc and want to avoid the great firewall/censorship/knock on the door at 3AM with a GAZ59 waiting outside.

Honestly though Tor could be a honey trap though as it was recommended by the US Government to bypass restrictions in Syria and Iran to communicate with the west.

Your best protection is the lions v herd of wildebeest on the plains of Africa syndrome. Problem with intelligence gathering is volume and noise. The more you gather the more you have to find ways to make sense of it all. Sure they can make some sort of sense of it - a bit like the weather forecast though- close but no cigar--- as the Oklahoma Tornado/ Boston Bombers recently illustrated.

What is most surprising is that people are surprised at this. Did people really think that their government was not spying on them? ECHELON has been set up since the 50s and one of its purposes was to bypass laws on intelligence gathering on home soil (USAUK Network) involding the US, UK, Aus, NZ and Canada where UK would spy on US citizens and pass the data to NSA and viceversa.
