Internet problem

Does anyone know why aspx pages wont display and therefore why windows update wont open???

I take it it all worked prior to getting a new router.

Who is your ISP and what make of router did you get.

BT broadband and a belkin replacement router as the last one broke

I think that you may find that other web pages will be the same, like Hotmail, secured sites and sometimes Ebay too

Try changing the MTU (maximum transmission unit) size in thewireless router to a value of 1400. This setting can be found in most routers (I think?), usually under WAN settings.

I had a similar problem and changed the above and it worked after that, you may have to try different MTU settings though

I think It's under Connection Type, then hit the next button.

Enter the MTU value 1400 and then apply settings

My setting was 1432 when I changed it to1400 I lost all internet

BT requires that you enter your BT username and password and these settings:

Encapsulation - PPP over ATM (PPPoA)

Multiplexing Method - VC-Based

Virtual Circuit - VPI=0 - VCI=38

Modulation - Multi mode

Authentication - CHAP

Failing that, I would call BT and ask them for proper settings

Also a similar issue here.
Dr TCP is likely to diagnose & solve the active scripting issue (provided you have duplicated all the other settings from your old BT modem).
