I look forwards to it, I'm hanging onto my 2 1/2 year old iPhone until the iPhone 4 cradle comes out and then I'll upgrade.

Your better off with the HFP unit, atleast you can leave the phone in your pocket then.

You can leave your phone in your pocked with the iPhone 3G/3GS and iPhone 4 cradles - they use Bluetooth too. (NB, iPhone 1 cradle uses bluetooth but phone needs to be plugged in). What is great about them is that they charge the phone and use the car's external aerial.

What is not so great about them is they only pair with iPhones, so all users need iPhones.

They should be here anytime soon - should have been end of last month though !

I'm not worried about playing music as my audio20 does not support that but I need to charge my phone whenever I'm in the car as I spent alot of time on the road and i've already got enougth stuff plugged into the ciggy lighter.

I had the iPhone 3G/3Gs cradle (with Bluetooth) but it wouldn't let me make or receive calls unless I put the phone in the cradle itself. I tend to do a lot of short journeys and found it wasn't worth the hassle of putting the phone in each time which completely defeated the point of having it.

It also means your much more likely to leave your phone in the car.

Look in your glovebox for the media interface connection point. It may be on the ceiling of it.

You can use the iphone to play music if you have media interface or an iPod interface fitted.

Also, it keeps getting delayed - which suggests a s/w or production issue. They were meant to be released CW53 2010 (i.e last week of 2010) and there is not definite date really - we suspect "next week" though ..

There is a seller on eBay selling the iPhone 4 cradle for £200+£5 Postage, I don't think they are the ones with the audio cable

iPhone 4 cradle with cable is due to be released week 7 (i.e this week) - I will know it is available when it arrives :-(

I've heard it was possible to bodge the 3g/3gs cradle to fit the iPhone 4 but I wouldnt like to try it. I'd rather sell the old cradle as perfect condition and put the money towards the right one.
I seem to recal there were software issues with the iPhone 4 and other iPhones with iso versions 4.0+, something to do with the phonebook syncing with MB Bluetooth. Did this get fixed or is it possible the new cradle will help?
