iPhone interface plus

Hi

I am looking at purchasing a new C Class. However I have been reading about the new iPhone interface plus system which appears to be being released in 2012.
Just wondering what people's thoughts are on this.
Should I hold off for it? More and more cars seem to be introducing this kind of thing so for sell on value it might be a good thing to have.
There appears to be rumours it'll be available as a retrofit - not sure if that would apply to the C Class I'd buy just now.

Any thoughts/advice would be most welcome.

I'm hoping this will be an upgradable item as I really want Comand Online iPhone compatibility. Some say it will be a software upgrade but yet others say its likely to require hardware, so not upgradable. I wish MB would release more info on this to make it clear.

I've just got a new C250CDI sport anniversary edt and couldnt believe online didn't work with the iPhone.

Even if it doesnt officially become available as a retrofit we will probably offer it as one
