If they will play ball pricewise then yes. Use your negotiation skills to best effect.
They give you a good deal back on the gearbox and you buy a diff, which they already have and in reality it hasn't cost them anything.
They are much more likely to play ball if you buy something in return rather than just want your money back.

Ok well i got my money back from the indy, he even gave me £30 on top for my troubles, was really nice and didnt argue at all. so thats one less thing to worry about.
Now the Dronsfield issue... well they are being quite difficult (or so i think), i asked them to send the differential to me and on sending it, they can collect the gearbox they said they couldn't do it. I asked them not to give me the surcharge because i will send them the gearbox and it will reach them 2moro, and they still refused. So i just got fed up and asked them to just send me the diff once they've recieved the gearbox and i dont care if i get a refund or not to be honest... just want this to end!
But we're making progress... diff will be off today hopefully, and it'll be replaced with a slightly better LSD... (mine was a crap one).
i'll update you guys on whats going on. thanks for the advice and support up until now.
