Is it ok to start up with bumber removed???

Hi All, hopefully a quick one:

I've removed my bumber to replace a headlight, would it be ok to start the car up whilst the bumber is off???
Im wanting to check the new light works before I refit the bumper and dont want any error messages or worse still - Airbags popping out to say hello!!! ,

Thats fine and no problems,, you can even drive without a bumper as long as there is nothing sharp that a pedestrian could hurt themselves on
