Is there a perfect vehicle for all ?

Having been through the last winter when the SLK didn't move from the drive for several weeks, I'd say something with front wheel drive or 4x4!

A year on, I still say the CLS would tick most of my boxes, especially as I don't need the practicality of the estate any more! (but, if an estate was useful then I reckon there's nothing finer than an E estate, with whatever engine you choose!) :)

For me, bring on the CLS! (hurry up september!! LOL!)

I've just thought! What you need is the CLS 'shooting brake'....;)

Well, I did, but now the CLS "coupe" will do me fine! :)

Simple question.

Is there one vehicle that caters for all needs ?

Performance / Capacity / Economy ?

One vehicle, any brand - what would you have and what failings would you accept ? Or do you need two ?

A W123 or W124 estate probably comes closest .
