Just had a look at that ChargeBump he mentioned. Sounds great for any car thief. Basically they can message someone on charge and potentially get a response of "I'll be there in 15 mins" so knows that the owner isn't about to come back around the corner.

Don't think I'll be signing up for that app!

Is there now some sort of hierarchy with these electric motors? Those without an engine get upset if the hybrids are being charged instead of theirs?

I think that's the gist of it, the EV guys think that they have priority because the hybrid driver could get moving with petrol whereas the EV only driver might be stranded without recharging.

It's an interesting situation and one that, to some extent, I can see both sides. The bigger picture, however, might well be that there will be a massive demand for more charging points to be fitted - I should be in the charging point fitting game!

Just check out the EV car forum, can't remember it's name, and you will discover that we are second class drivers in the eyes of a few of the posters. So much so that I stopped posting there.

Not because you have a Hybrid, but because you have a Mercedes Hybrid.....that and the fact that it's got the EV range of a Duracell Bunny
