I've Seen the Future

If we start releasing lots of H20 due to cars won't we have quite a "steamy" local atmosphere and when it condenses water on the roads etc.
I'm just glad something came along to save us from still being on horses. There's a "steamy" atmosphere we're blessed to be without. :bannana:

I wonder if the secret lies with internal combustion engine burning hydrogen. But then where does the power come to make it.

It won't release CO2, but it will still release nitrous oxides, and at local level these have been proven to be a health issue, whereas the CO2 debate is still up in the air

Compare an Electric train to a diesel one. The electric one does accelerate incredibly quicly compared to the diesel.

That is because the diesel train, certainly the early ones used the diesel engine to produce electricity. The motors were electrically driven. So to lug a blimmin great power generator to operate the electric motors is a little self defeating. Indeed, most modern cruise ships adopt the same principal. The big diesel engines produce the electricity to drive pods which are electrically driven.

I was comparing a modern electric train vs a modern diesel train.

The tesla sports car, v fast acceleration but a lowish top speed IIRC as there is a lack of transmission to aide a higher top speed.

Indeed when I drove a hybrid lexus RX400h when it was on electric power it moved off and accerated pretty quicky, despite the mass it was lugging.

MB say that the revolutionary new diesel will be in the C220cdi this autumn. Anyone heard exactly when it will appear in the UK?
