Hi Everyone

Looking for a quick bit of advice from anyone who knows more about this kind of thing than me (which is, basically, everyone!)

Parked the car on the driveway today, and, a couple of hours later when leaving noticed a wet patch under the car (about the size of my hand - see pic)

So, I went and had a look under the car, and there does seem to be a small area with a slight leak - it's right in the middle of the car (from one side to the other) right between the wing mirrors (so below where the dash is, slightly forward of the gearstick) - I've taken a few pics (and found one online) to show the area as best as I can. It is an area which is covered by a plastic / rubbery cover, with a particularly soft area with a portion hanging down just where it is leaking (obviously the leak could be somewhere else and is just finding it's way to this point!)

The leak seems to have slowed now, and also what is leaking is colourless, has no smell, doesn't feel oily.

I've checked oil level (though it's clearly not oil), brake fluid level, and my washer fluid is bright blue...

This would lead me to think it's potentially just water (are there drainage channels leading to this area?), and it was raining here earlier (about 8 hours before I noticed the leak) - but it's closeness to where I'd imagine the gearbox / transmission parts would be has made me a little nervy...

Anyone any ideas? All help or suggestions appreciated!

Could it be condensation from the Air Con? My Range Rover drips water from this area onto the floor and it can even be enough for it to run from under the car if left long enough.

If you have checked all the levels and it defo isn't oil then it must be air con related or rain water from the scuttle....

Good point, which I hadn't thought of - might well be that! As I say, just concerned as it's in the transmission area, and I've no idea what the fluids in there look like - I was easily able to rule out oil, coolant, washer fluid etc because of colour / smell / feel etc, but knew nothing about transmission fluid other than it's a sealed unit - and hopefully still is!
