JR tuning - AVOID!

Hey all,

Just thought I'd have a little moan about my recent experience with JR tuning and hopefully warn anyone away from using them...

I booked my c250 cdi coupe in to have a remap a few weeks back. I then drove two hours (each way) just to find that no one had turned up at JR at the arranged time. No one was answering phones/emails all morning either so after waiting for over an hour, I had to come home without the job being done.

I finally got hold of Robert Bently three days later who came up with some BS excuse and agreed he would refund my fuel money. I gave him my details but he never paid me despite chasing him a number of times via phone and email again.

This guy and his company are either a hoax or just a total joke. Either way, I would recommend going else where if you want a remap!

Cheers,
Jonny

Aye. Rob used to be sound by all accounts and active on various forums an had a good rep. Shame really.

Clearly Jonny was badly let down but I guess the question is whether his experience is representative of the current situation at JR or a one-off example of really bad PR?

If they used to be good then why p*** people off? It takes a long time to build a good rep in business but only a few bad experiences to wreck it, esp with social media and t'internet now.

Anyone in Kent/Essex/Sussex got any experiences good bad?

Maybe new owner(s)?

How good a business is depends on the individuals involved - if that changes, so can the standard of service.

Not that I am agreeing or disagreeing with the OP as I have no direct experience.
