Hi all,

After a few days of waiting, I've recieved and fitted my winter tyres from mytyres.co.uk... Have gone with Nokian on the front (245/40/18) and Vredrestein (265/35/18) on the rears... Have only had them on for about 5miles but seem less noisy than my conti's and falkens at the moment plus the ride is much more softer... not sure whether this is normal but all good so far!

Will keep you all updated on how I get on.... Will be racking up about 650miles a week so should be able to give them a good review!

Winter compound is a bit softer. Noticed a huge difference on one of ours when changing from Conti summers to Vredstein winters

Are they all season or just winter tyres you got?

I ordered some tires from mytires a couple of years ago and had them sent to an indy tire fitter. They told me in no uncertain times that it would have been quite a bit cheaper to simply buy the tires from them directly.

Probably might be an idea to call some local places for some quotes before looking online and compare.

I shopped around a lot and this was the best deal I got..... Saved a lot!

Fair enough, this was just my experience.

I did the same, much cheaper, Camskils for the tyres and local MOT fitter did the fitting £10 each

As it happends they were the 'fitters' had I gone to black circles and clicked the 'fitted' price.

Still more exspensive though to do that method for me :)

Quite often, with winters, the problem is getting them, not the price.
There seem to be a limited amount available in the UK, wheras MyTyres gets theirs from Europe.

Colin.

I hardly need them at present, but at last, my wheels and tyres arrived at the local dealer last week. Just 21 weeks from order.

Winter tyres aren't just for Christmas - they are are for life! -----well for the next 4 winters anyway.;)
