last night was a very sad day, friend just kerbed my rims  now do anyone know where to get them repaired? these are polished rims with deep dish from estatus...the question is

1. where to get it repaired?

2. once repaired the shop will get relacqured for the smooth and shiny look right?...but the last time i sent my other set of rims for some kerb repairs the lacqure on the rims peeled off and showed a very bad patch of oixidation...so how do i tell the shop to do it correctly?

thanks

If these are bare polished alloy, the same ones you were using brasso to clean them with, no need to send them any where.

Buy pack of wet and dry, depending on how bad the kerbing is maybe start with dremel/grinder very very lightly.

Then work up with wet and dry to get surface smooth, say from 200 grit right up to 800grit.

Then use polishing mops I told you about from www.thepolishingshop.co.uk

I can't actually see the damage in the pics, but I've seen a lot lot worse, will take you about 2hours maximum per wheel.. Will be easier if you remove the tire.

Otherwise if you want them done professionally, try Pristine Wheels, excellent wheel refurbers.

actually that was the least damaged one had a serious kerb rash on my front wheels.....anyway it was taken care of and i would be collecting it tommorrow from the shop....i did told them not to apply any clearcoat to the rims thought cause the last time i sent it to them (another set of rims) the clearcoat peeled out and later oxidation form on the rims.....guess i would be a regular weekly brasso user:)

i think autosol is too strong....was advised by friend to use brasso instead

autosol is fine, used it on polished rims for years.

Apply a coat of solid furniture wax after polishing, it will seal the moisture from the alloy for longer so less polishing will be required.

will do that....wat abt using wd40....was told it gives the same results

Thats what I do and it works great, very easy to apply too.
