I guess you have some sort of an issue then, can you tell more about it?

Have you tried entering the car, putting the key to the ignition slot and ignition on, perhaps start the car and why not have a ride with a nice car... well that is not necessary but at least turn ignition off and see if your issue remains, what ever it was.

If you cannot turn ignition on, then it isn't about keys not being synchronised.

Hi thanks for interest, the problem is that the car drives ok, we have two fobs, one origonal and one new ( both with new batteries). the fobs both start the car ok but the remote lock/unlocking will only work, intermtantly say one in ten, and when it does only from about 12 inches! someone said that the RF is not working and checked the fuse in the boot, it was ok. but had no other ideas, can you help, much appreciated,

You mean both keys have problems to lock/unlock the car from distance?

I've never had a 203 but I've understood they often have issues with the antenna amplifier at the rear window (is this an estate or sedan model?).

You can check the fuse too, I guess it is fuse #8 at the rear SAM (better to check from the fuse diagram) at least on a sedan.

If the IR only works, you have to point with the key to the IR receiver at the door handle to gain the maximum range. It is intended to work only from a short distance (with IR).

Hi , yes both keys, the car is a coupe, the fuse is ok and the IR only works from a few inches, occasionally

I suspect the radio antenna is faulty. It is stuck to the rear screen. A test on a Star will tell all.
