I went to open drivers door this morning and to my surprise no keyless entry. The only door that works is the nsr door. I find it strange that all 3 doors went down together. However it locks when pressing the button. Ive replaced the batteries in the fob but no change. It did however work a couple of times throughout the day.. any ideas guys. Could it be something as simple as a reset on star etc.....??? By the way keyless start works no probs...????

Driver’s door is usually the first to go. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but will probably need replacing. They do wear out. The electronics of this may be upsetting the other doors, or they might have lived their life too. It's not an uncommon issue, as far as I'm aware.

The handles aren't AMG-specific, and easily replaced I gather.

Bad news... looks like you need 3 new door handles from Mercedes. You can go get some from breakers but probably hard to get.

My O/S/R door handle has just failed, the lock button does not work but not an urgent matter for me because the other door handles are fine.

My driver side has gone too, hasn't worked now for some time, the button won't work either. All the others are ok, so I am just using the fob to lock / unlock. It's a bit of a pain though, amazing how we become so reliant on these conveniences. As said its a common failure and to me relatively expensive to fix. MB quoted me £143 for supply of the handle and I think it then needs to be painted. Not sure how easy it is to fit?

On my S211 the handle was already body colour painted if ordered off the VIN.

Having read up on many threads with this issue (my drivers side front & rear have gone), its would appear the only plus side is, they are straight forward to fit (how to guides on the net and on the other side) and don't require coding. Prices seem to vary from £150-£200 painted dependent on which dealer you use!

common issue, they did come painted, but ive read lately they do not come painted, I guess if your color is still in stock then it will come painted.

easy to replace, rears are prob cheaper to source from Germany. don't buy the fronts as they are different (LHD) due to the lock being on other side.

Thanks for the heads up Alps.

Time to look for a rear one on eBay Germany hehe.
