I've looked in on Kickstarter projects but never backed one ...until today!

Mrs D asked what I wanted for my anniversary and a Kickstarter project sprung to mind. So I just signed up and pledged on a project for a Wifi Smart Doorbell, i-Bell.

I just paid for my own anniversary present, didn't I? Doh!

I remember seeing something like that on an expose…………….Dragon's Den or young inventor programme. Pretty sure it was a young grad student who demonstrated the concept.

I liked the idea then and would buy one now.

Indeed DoorBot and SkyBell were earlier to market (also Kickstarter projects) and I watched those develop with interest. I quite like the idea of backing a project though, and so I went for i-Bell rather than the default DoorBot.

i-BELL isn't on sale until late 2014.

ETA The i-Bell is a UK project and so should avoid the need to go to the Post Office to pay duty/tax on it as it passes through Customs. Bonus.
