- Smart ForFour AMG Black Series Night Edition Premium Plus 125 Powered by Brabus
I don’t usually post photos of cars I buy but this one might be a rare exception. It’s both a Mercedes and an unusual example at that, and so it might be of interest to some MBClubbers, so here it is.
Today I picked up a Kleemann SLK 55K S8. I know, I know it’s a little dull compared to a Mercedes-AMG ForFour Black Series AMG Sport Plus Night Edition Premium Plus 125 Navi facelift powered by Brabus.
It’s a one-owner low-mileage car which is in exceptional condition. I bought it from an ex AMG technician who has very very high standards, and anything not meeting his exacting standards was replaced.
It left the Mercedes factory with a naturally aspirated 5.4 litre M113 V8, but soon after it was supercharged by Kleemann and they also replaced the camshafts and full exhaust including headers and racing cats.
In period it was sometimes referred to as being the “Baby SLR” due to it’s F1 style “nose”, similar (but not quite) power output, and it’s deep chested bellow combined with supercharger whine.
Inside and outside it’s completely standard, with no hints of what can be found beneath the bonnet. It’s Obsidian Black with black and red two-tone nappa leather interior, and it’s all in fantastic condition.
The wheels are the optional five-spoke design rather than the more usual “Turbine” style. I probably prefer the turbines, but if I can find the right set then there might be a set of 19-inch AMG IV going on there.
