Hi all,

Has anyone done a clock conversion before on a 2003 E55k. Just wondering how difficult it was to do. Or would you just not bother. I've had previous cars with kph clocks so not too much of an issue.

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Many thanks

Kam

Just set the digital readout in the centre of the speedo to read kph, and use that as your speed indication. I always preferred that to reading the speed off the analogue display anyway.

I suspect he has a KPH car which does not have dual display.

Not a conversion as such, but I have just replaced a standard instrument panel face with a carbon fibre (hydrographics) one, which required removing the cluster and taking it apart.
Surprisingly easy to do. The donor cluster was pretty cheap from eBay. I could've swap the dials at the same time.

Surely the first question should be where does the OP live ? If the car is registered in the UK it has to show speed in MPH somewhere just to pass the MOT .
The speedo does not need to work but it must show MPH. Hence loads of Japanese import bike/cars with stickers on the speedo.

Someone on here will know the law 100%

We have done a few of these and it requires a new cluster and some coding.

(new as in brand new. Second hand clusters cant be coded to the car and will show incorrect mileages etc).
