Just saw this. Toyota Prius does very well, as does Lexus.

Most improved brand is Mercedes Benz.

Mercedes-Benz is the most improved nameplate in 2007, increasing 12 points from 2006. Other notable improvements include Citroën, MG Rover and Land Rover.

'Mercedes-Benz has made impressive strides over the past two years, with major improvements in vehicle quality and dealer service making a strong impact on satisfaction with the overall ownership experience,' said Frank Parisi, director of European automotive research at J.D. Power and Associates.

This echoes what many of owners of recent cars have been saying on here. (Our new A class has been excellent). Hopefully MB has left the dark cost cutting days behind for good.

Its fairly laughable in some regards as the prius, although reliable it seems, is one of the most environmentally unfriendly cars made. To produce it causes huge problems and disposal will be a nightmare. Besides, its extremely ugly also ;)

My mother has one and I refuse to go in it. It rarely gets anywhere near the claimed fuel consumption and is often outperformed economically and performance wise by most diesels!

It's beaten by some small capacity petrol models too!

IIRC, one of the most environmentally friendly cars when looking in total life terms from manufacturing to disposal is the Mercedes W169 A Class!

Surely the most environmentally friendly Mercs are the catalyst equipped W124s since many are still running?
