leaky sunroof, 94 s124

hi there

i seem to be getting dripping water from the 2 fwd corners of the sunroof

i have checked the drains, they LOOK clear

is this a common fault and what can i do about it

Get some cutain cord from B&Q or similar and use it to clean out the drian holes properly. When you puch it through the drains from top to bottom you'll be suprised what comes out. Keep the front doors open as the exits are on the leading edge of the door shuts (A pillar). 2m should do it, if that fails, think about changing the sunroof seal. I need to change the seal on mine as it looks a bit perished, and it looks as though it should be easy enough to fit a replacement.

Also, does the sunroof panel need adjustment? I've seen a few MBs driving around where the sunroof isn't sitting flush with the rest of the roof. Whether thats an adjustment issue or they're simply not being closed properly I can't say.
