Can anyone recommend a good leather cleaner (preferably a all in one product) that cleans and protects the leather without the liquid/substance getting stuck in all the perforations in the leather? I don't mind using a two stage/application product either BUT would prefer a "all in one".

Has anyone used "Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner and Conditioner"?

I use Autoglym Leather Cleaner and Gliptone conditioner.

Meguiars

Ady - have you used the Meguiars stuff on perforated leather at all (otherwise I will be spending ages with a cocktail stick trying to clear the perforations).:o

Yes - I use that after seeing it recommended somewhere (AutoExpress product test?). I get it here http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Meguiars_.html (free delivery).

Using a terry towel (softer the better, I guess) it works fine on the perforated leather, although mine is light grey, so maybe wouldn't show so much as black.

I use baby wipes -- you can get ones which moisturises as well as cleans

The Meguiars terry towel is very soft...;)
I use a soft aplicater pad and wipe off the excess with the towel...

I have been using the IKEA leather cleaner & conditioner set on the car seats & house sofas with great satisfaction over the last few years.

Zymol cleaner and conditioner.

Gliptone cleaner and conditioner. Also worked a treat on our leather sofas too.

Does Meguiar's (or any of the others) leave the leather looking glossy? I'm worried that it'll make the seats look garish instead of the lovely matt texture it has now.

I had this 'dread' also and, being a bit new to all this leather mullarkey, I tried Auto-Glymm from recommendation/s. I cant remember the actual name but it was the conditioner as opposed to the cleaner.

With this stuff I can confirm that it actually took some of the 'shine' off. By that I mean the seats were lovely and matte/satin when new and thats the way I wanted them to stay but after a few hundred miles or so the drivers side started to shine.

When you first apply it they do look shiney until you buff them up with a nice soft terry or microfibre towel, preferably a black one, (if you have black leather that is!!!), then they very much tone down shine wise. In fact, after a couple of days I'm convinced that they tone down even more as mine seem to have done. Loverrrly!

Portzy.

I agree with portzy, with autoglym the shine seems to 'dull down' over time.
Another tip is to leave the conditioner on for some time (overnight in my case).
This leaves even less of a shine.
