leather seat covers

They're flimmin expensive! I've never heard of them, and I've never had any seat covers, but those I've seen, tailored or otherwise, always look like that bloke off Pimp My Ride made them. Baggy, and ill-fitting.

IMO they look cheap and nasty! I say if you want leather seats do it properly or put up with cloth

They remind me of some Max Power seat covers i have seen

Designed by the same company that does these?

Yes, that may well sum them up but the consensus of previous buyers seems to be that they are ok but worth getting an upholsterer to install. So further expense.

First I've heard of them though so I wouldn't know.

While on the subject of leather covers . . I need to have a couple of headrest covers made . . I know I could just check the yellow pages . . but was wondering if anyone here had any experience with a good uphostery place in West London? Would be good to find somewhere that I have some positive feedback on.

Thanks

Front or rear? What colour?

MUCH cheaper from a scrapyard, surely?

Mercedes-Benz do sell some accessory seat and headrest covers in original trim colours/patterns for some models (eg W202/W210?). Might be worth considering :)

I need to cover my two rear headrest in my W124 Coupe . . not too long ago I replaced the cloth interior with a full leather interior. This did not include the rear headrests . . so at the moment they are still cloth . . need to get them re-covered in leather to match the interior . .

Dont know which pimp my ride you are talking about, but the one at west coast customs can not be described as a bodger.. Their workmanship looks top notch...

Obviously the colours and styles may not be everyones taste but thats seperate to the quality of the work..

Yep that's him. Every time he makes a seat, it just looks loose. There's stretch marks or sag marks down the edges of the side bolsters, and they just don't look like quality (IMO)

I don't want to post any images off their website, but go here, and watch. There's a slide show with several images, the second of which is a really nasty blue tartan & grey leather jobbie. You can't tell me the quality of that workmanship looks good!

I admit the other pictures look OK, but I was specifically moaning about the leather stuff anyway.

I must admit, i agree with PJ , that the leather work (and hoods) from WCC do look baggy and ill-fitting ....

The rest of the work is really really nice, but Ish (the trim guy) although he always seems to know what he is on about, the new trim never seems to be 'tight' ..

I'm not one to slag off WCC ( Hell, i've even got a T-shirt ) but the interiors and hoods are never up to the rest of the job ...

Sorry ....

hmm well he changed recently.. there was the mexican before, now its someone different... always thought the mexican was good..

anyone want vinyl leather grain effect.any colour.let me know i can send a sample its 54"wide,car seating grade, challange you to tell the difference.??
Regards Eddie

Guys, contact World Upholstry. www.worlduph.com
These guys are the best. They are located in U.S.A. and ship out around the world. They also carry nearly every OEM color and material for almost every prestige make. The 54" width kind of makes me think if pineer35 Eddie may have the same source. I recall that World Upholstry sources their material, well most of them, from Europe.

That leather job is awful!!

Bear in mind that these seats are freshly trimmed, and they already look that bad! The leather is way to baggy and you can see that they've tried to stretch it out, hence the creases. That in a year of driving will look awful!
