Hi
Bought a nice all round CLK 208 convertible with - I think - Light ash grey leather interior. Or it was a nice interior until some idiot - me! - put a tyre on the back seat.
It was there overnight and I now have a tyre tread stain on the seat.
Ive tried quite a range of cleaners and substances but it seems as if the rubber has leached into the leather and stain wont move.
Any magic available out there to remove this?

Stain.

If it wont come out buy a very small pot of dye from here MERCEDES BENZ LEATHER DYES The colour matches are v good and really simple to apply, They are water based and are opaque, so it will cover it up. dries quickly too.

Bilt Hamber Surfex HD and a nail brush.

Two warings though - try it on a hidden piece of leather first to make sure it doesn't remove the dye, and once you start, you'll end up noticing how dirty the seat actually is and clean the whole lot!

Make sure you use a conditioner afterwards (Gliptone Liquid Leather Conditioner or similar.)

tried lots of sure fire cleaners, none worked.
Had a leather specialist look at it, it has to be re dyed.
being done this week
