I would like to buy one of these but cannot see in my car how to remove the dash for fitting. Anyone any ideas?

The instrument binnacle pulls out using special tools available from your dealer for about £5.00 a pair. It takes quite amount of pull and you need to be careful or you can crack the glass / plastic - do each side slowly a bit at a time.

I've been looking at those too. I know about getting the cluster out but once you've done that does the perspex front clip off? I always imagined that they were sealed units.

If you can get it apart easily then I guess the mod is pretty simple (so long as you don't get any dust or greasy fingerprints on the inside of the perspex )

Anyone with a W/CL203 done this yet???

This may sound like sour grapes from a disgruntled eBay user, but you really must check out the feedback of sellers - especially overseas. Even if they give you a refund for an item that is curiously not in stock once you "win" it, they will have had the benefit of your money for weeks (or months) and you will lose two lots of commission to the banks for currency changing to and from Euros (3% each way). Postage charges are high, and if you have to return an item they are unlikely to refund your return postage.

Obviously not all eBay traders are dishonest, I have bought many items with no problems - including one from China. I'm just saying be careful.

The negative comments (only 30 out of 2000) against this seller look remarkably similar to the ones against the German company that stung me
