List your pet hates of motorists

Middle lane hoggers, radio one coming on the tuner when trying to avoid it. The same applies for capital FM.

Slow drivers doing 40mph on country roads when 60 is possible.

Buses, they seem to be the cause of every urban congestion hazard. I really hate buses.

living in the rurals and having to go off-road so that the oncoming Range-Rover drivers don't have to.

And most of all the previous...

This happens to me everyday, not just RR but all the premium brands, fortunately I drive a van with indestructible mirrors so I just let them hit me !

Thats a myth assuming the bus is full, often they are less than half full and less than 10 on board.

Buses being so long block junctions as they turn into them when there is traffic blocking them. They need more than one lane often to make a turn.

If everyone drove, it would be better including padestrian safety (imagine if a child gets hit by a bus-worse than the outcome of being struck by a 4x4 so I say :ban: the bus)

Even if half full thats 30 cars fewer on the road.

You are again assuming the car only has one person in it, and often I see buses around mid day with about 5 folk on them.

I hate the things, no amount of posting from others to the contrary will change that.

Most cars, as you know, travel one up most of the time. So, even five on a bus, is 5 cars fewer on the road.

The majority of eligible people in the UK do not have cars...what would you suggest they do?

Buses.
Traffic lights that are plainly pointless at the junction they manage.
People not in the right lane who then cut in and pretend it was just a mistake when actually it was all about themselves and pushing in.
Mobile phone users, very dangerous.

Most journeys taken on a bus can be taken on foot, particularly in large urban areas. An hours walk maximum, or they can use a pushbike.

Everytime I come across a hazard or situation in an urban area, the bus is the cause of it. Not a car.

Walk, given the size of a lot of people, it would do them good.

Agreed.

I had an experience like that on the M2 to Maidstone recently. He held up the traffice for ablout 10 miles and didn't seem to care as people tooted and gesticulated when they finally passed him. One thing I did do that day was to drop back in distance because of the amount of stones etc, that was flicking up from the four rear tyres on the truck.

I think both lorry drivers are at fault here as the one being over taken never seems to be willing to back off so slightly to let the overtaking lorry past.

You all need to chill

The number on thing for me is drivers using their mobile phones.

Saw on a number of occasions women with full head scarf drive with the mobile wedged into the garment above their ear and having animated conversation while driving. I am scratching my head whether it is actually legal - it's hands-free alright...
