Here is one to baffle you and one for the boffins out there. I have recently noticed that on long, fast sweeping left handers my orange triangle flashes and the engine misfires . It is not the traction control kicking in as the speed is not that great, (around 65- 70 mph) and it does it in the dry. This is getting more and more common. For those of us that are northern, imagine joining the M1 from the M18 long sweeping bend to the left. For the south of you, imagine joining the M25 ( Dartford Tunnel way) from the M1 . This sort of bend causes the engine to misfire and will not correct it self until the car straightens up.

All I can think of is fuel starvation. Blocked fuel filter perhaps ? Has anyone else had similar problems. Come on Diesel Man, one for you here.

Regards Merc808.

A new fuel filter costs less than a tenner and is an easy DIY job. :)

low tyre pressure on LHS of car - tyre gets squashed more by car, changes size more than computer expects, causes warning triangle to come on (traction control) - and it to cut power to engine to try to correct the 'problem'

Could also be worn tyre.

Or combination of both.

Possibly a failing ABS sensor cable, which shows up under compression or extension.
