Longer to start

My 06 old shape sprinter 311always starts as soon as glow light goes out until this last couple of weeks.
Went out to start it and it turned over for a long while before starting.
I have kept going out to see if it improved but has been the same until last night when it started straight away again. I have not took it for a drive since this starting issue began.
It is a camper van so spends time just sat on my drive.
Could it have been moisture or foreign body in the fuel.
Am hoping when I take it for a drive all be fine again.
Thought at first could be glow plug down but sprinters start real cold without them and also plug light stays on if issues?

How old is the battery? Is it holding it's charge?

Most likely an air leak into the fuel system or an injector leaking back too much.

Brand new varta. She cranks fine

Cheers for that. I have just took it for a twenty minute drive. Started fine again and performed as it normally doesstrange heh
