looking at a w220 your thoughts

hi all

I'am going to have a look at a 2000 w220 ( 2.8) model tomorrow and would like to hear any suggestions you might have regarding what to check.

It has 127k miles on the clock and i have been told it also has a comprehensive service history and receipts to back up all work and its a 1 owner car

So far i have read all about the air-matic problem and the owner had to the compressor replaced as it was leaking a number of years ago and its been ok since

I also read that ALL the electric need to be checked throughly as well as the drainage holes in front of the windscreen.

with regards to the command unit ( totally new to me ) how easy is it to add bluetooth or remove and install an aftermarket unit ?


whats the 2.8 engine like for faults and what should be checked with it.

Check for cracked airmatic front strut tops too. These often last around 100k miles or so.
